My journey into real estate started three decades ago. I was 13 years old and decided I wanted to move out of my parents’ house and buy my own home, so I started saving from my part-time job and began to put aside some home accessories for when I was finally able to move out.

I purchased my first home some years later in Northern Territory, an original 1970s house with apricot walls, brown trim, and a purple bathroom. I renovated it myself while owning a business and raising my five young children, who were always a very helpful part of the process. Ever since then, we, as a family, have loved working on renovating homes trying to make something special – often out of nothing.

I remember walking through the door of my first home, and no one could see why I wanted to buy it. But just six months later, it all came together to the shock of so many people who simply couldn’t believe the transformation.

I WAS HOOKED!

I’ve always been creative with interiors and décor, which has led to this long-time property passion of mine. With all the tips and tricks, I’ve learned over the years on how to bring value to a home on a budget, I find myself in a distinct position to really be able to help people bring out the best in their homes – and I love doing it!

I’ve spent a lot of time travelling over the years since and always take a little bit from the amazing cultures of Europe, Asia, Africa, and Polynesia that I’ve had the great privilege to experience.

My most recent trip saw me spend five months in Egypt. The vibrant colours and patterns there, paired with the Red Sea and Desert background, really exuded a different look, feel, and style, and of course, I filled my suitcases with as much as I could carry.

I moved to Perth six years ago and officially started my real estate career. This is where I met a beautiful, now lifelong, friend when I was working as a sales agent for a local real estate agency. After going through a horrible divorce, she was overwhelmed and unable to afford to style and spruce up her home, which is something that she desperately needed to start her new life.

Together, we went thrift shopping for furnishings, cleverly found cheap decor, painted her house, and revived the gardens with my 3 teenage boys.

I’ll never forget the amazing feeling when we were finally able to put the ‘Sold’ sticker up! The relief, joy, and gratitude on her face is something I will cherish forever. To this day, we are very good friends, and that experience was what started the ball rolling toward my own business. It was then I got the idea for what I’ve now developed into Stylin to Sell. I realised there was a big gap in the real estate market: somewhere where people could get almost everything they needed to prepare to sell their homes in one spot.

It combined all of the things that I LOVED, Real Estate, Interiors, Styling, Gardening, and Cosmetic Renovations.

Our goal and purpose are quite simple: to bring a new kind of personal touch to the real estate business, where it’s all about the client, their individual needs, and how we can achieve them, combined with a one-stop shop for all your property service requirements.
